DEHOGA has once again awarded the ECOINN Hotel am Campus the “DEHOGA Environment Check in Gold” certificate. In doing so, DEHOGA recognises the “unparalleled sustainability performance” of the hotel, which generates its electricity in its own hydroelectric plant and feeds two thirds of the electricity it produces into the grid because it only needs one third itself.
Through this feed-in, the multi-award-winning hotel with the lowest CO2 emissions per overnight stay of all German hotels more than offsets its calculated CO2 emissions and can therefore call itself not only climate-neutral,
but rightly the world’s most effective “energy-plus hotel”.
According to DEHOGA, Esslingen can be proud to have this exemplary hotel, which is a model of how the world can be preserved for young people and future generations.
Manager Thomas Puchan and his team are certainly proud of this further award and want to “stay on top” when it comes to sustainability.
