Statement by the ECOINN team against xenophobia, racism and discrimination, 19 January 2015
Our hotel team is made up of people of different origins, religions, genders, sexual orientations and physical/mental abilities. Nevertheless, we are ONE TEAM!
By signing the Diversity Charter, taking part in the European XENOS project and producing a diversity film clip (at www.ecoinn.de), we stand up for diversity in our society. Our guests, too, come to us from all over the world. And that is how it should stay.
In connection with the cowardly attack in Paris and the demonstrations by PEGIDA and similar organisations, we take a clear stand and distance ourselves from hate-mongering actions intended to sow discord and divide our society. We stand for a tolerant, open and free society based on values, in which nobody has to be afraid because of a different skin colour or world view. What xenophobia and ideologies can do has already been proven once in Germany. It must not happen again!
