Our hotel lies in the heart of Esslingen, right next to the historic old town and the famous Esslingen Medieval Christmas Market. Urban – but thanks to a cul-de-sac not on a busy road, with a view of the historic university campus at the front and of the gently flowing Neckar canal and the Maille Park (with playground) at the back, we have been offering sustainable, ecological accommodation in 59 healthy rooms since 2009.

Zudem sind alle Zimmer mit baubiologisch unbedenklichen, nachhaltigen Materialien ausgestattet. Auf dem müllfreien Frühstücksbüffet bieten wir Ihnen fast ausschließlich hochwertige Produkte aus der Region (über 90 %) und in Bio-Qualität (ca. 80 %), wofür wir auch das Bio-Siegel verwenden dürfen.
Auch als Allergiker können Sie sich bei uns wohlfühlen, parfumfreie Seife/Shampoo erhalten Sie gerne am Empfang und auch beim Frühstück stellen wir uns gerne auf Ihre Wünsche ein. Wichtig: Lassen Sie uns bei Buchung schon wissen, was wir für Sie tun können.

Wellness
The Merkel’sche swimming baths are just a few steps from the hotel. Here, history and modernity come together. Opened in Esslingen in 1907, these Art Nouveau baths are a unique combination of mineral thermal baths and sports pool.
Behind the historic façade you will also find a modern sauna area with an extensive range of wellness facilities. An experience for all the senses awaits you. The baths have recently been extensively renovated.
You are welcome to borrow bathrobes and sauna towels from our reception.
Trade Fair and Airport
From the hotel you can reach Stuttgart Airport and the modern Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre (15 km) in no time, and getting there and back by bus and train is easy too (approx. 25 min. each way). The “Hochschule” stop is just a short walk away. Our reception will also be happy to order a taxi for you.

We offer leisure and creative activities and provide rehearsal rooms and workshops. Our offering also includes the Café Fuenfbisneun, a bar that is open in the evenings. We are the place for young culture in Esslingen.
We provide space and support for concerts, parties, readings, talks, theatre, art, workshops and poetry slams. As an events venue, we are known well beyond Esslingen. Our events are largely organised by volunteers. The building is also home and meeting place for a large number of groups who work, plan, organise and celebrate at the Komma.
